2000-2010
2001 - POMFICO Project. Along with IFAM and Daimler Fibretech developed finer fibres in FeCrAlloys, which were sintered together into a substrate for use in petrol engines.
2002 - Project IMPHY. Working with IMPHY and Renault, Fibretech produced a catalytic substrate using MetalX fibres welded together.
2003 - Introduction of Fiberstone Composites utilising a range of fibres produced using our proprietary processes.
2004 - Progress Software System installed at Dynamic-Ceramic.
Dr. Athina Markaki (from Cambridge University’s Dept. of Material Science & Metallurgy) awarded the De Montford award (from 2004 SET [Science, Engineering and Technology] for Britain) for developing & patenting a “lightweight metal ‘sandwich’ of microscopic stainless steel fibres”.
2005 - Fibretech supplies Microtex HT to be fitted into exhausts of the Mini Cooper S. (“BMW is preserving the unique sound of the Cooper S with a little help from Fibretech. The exhaust system of the 16V 2 engine uses components manufactured and supplied from Fibretech’s factory in Nottingham, UK. Each Cooper S muffler contains Microtex HT, a high-temperature, high gas-pressure resistant acoustic absorption product, made from stainless steel filaments unique to Fibretech”).
2006 - Dynamic-Materials becomes active supporter of Nigel MacKnight’s project to regain the World Water Speed Record.
2007 - Development of Fibrecore material / Cambridge University and MIT (link to inside:technology piece).
Fibretech worked on the JETPOD Project with AVCEN and Cambridge University to produce lightweights and heat-resistant materials for use on short-range take-off and landing aircraft.
2008 - Additional factory premises acquired for the growing ceramics business in Crewe.
Significant Capital Investment program in CNC machines at Dynamic-Ceramic at Crewe.

2010 - Dynamic-Materials Ltd secondary buyout from Barclays Ventures / locally Lloyds TSB.
